Why You Might Be Here

There are many reasons people seek therapy. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in confidence, or stuck at a crossroads. You might not have the words for it yet—just a sense that something isn’t quite right. That’s a good enough reason to reach out.

As a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where we can begin to make sense of what’s going on. Whether you're struggling with depression, health anxiety, identity, relationships, grief, or stress, therapy can help you move towards clarity and strength.

How Therapy Can Help

It may seem too simple, but talking can be powerful—when someone truly listens. My approach is relational, which means I focus on the connection we build together. That connection becomes the ground for understanding, healing, and change.

Together, we’ll explore your experiences at a pace that feels right. You won’t be told what to do or judged. You’ll be supported to discover your own meanings and direction.

Paul Madden BA, MBACP (Accred)

I'm an accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I hold two degrees:
– BA in Theology & Psychology
– BA in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy

I’ve worked in areas of sexual health, HIV, and LGBTQ+ support, including clinical roles in two London NHS hospitals. I now lead care services for a hospice.

I use a person-centred approach as the foundation of my work. This means I listen closely, without judgement, and work with you at your pace. Where helpful, I may draw on other approaches such as:

– Gestalt therapy
– Motivational Interviewing
– Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
– Psychodynamic insights

Finding the right therapist matters. That’s why I usually suggest starting with two sessions—to give you space to decide if we’re the right match.

As a BACP-accredited therapist, I follow their ethical framework. I offer a confidential, respectful, and professional service shaped by your needs.

Contact

I’m currently welcoming new clients and open to working with anyone looking for support. If you’re considering therapy, I’d be happy to hear from you.
