The information provided through this website and during counselling sessions with Paul Madden Counselling and Psychotherapy is intended for general therapeutic support and personal development. It does not constitute legal, financial, or medical advice.

By engaging with this service, you understand and accept that:

  • Counselling outcomes vary and cannot be guaranteed.

  • You are responsible for your own decisions, wellbeing, and actions during and after the therapeutic process.

  • Paul Madden operates as a qualified counsellor under UK law and professional ethical standards, but does not provide medical diagnoses or prescribe treatment.

Continued use of this service confirms your agreement to these terms.

Refund Policy - the basics

Individual Sessions
Sessions are payable in advance and are non-refundable once completed.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. In such cases, your payment can be transferred to a future session.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice or non-attendance will be charged in full, and no refund will be issued unless under exceptional circumstances, at the therapist’s discretion.

Block Bookings / Prepaid Plans
Block booking plans (e.g. 10-session discounts) are offered at a reduced rate and are payable in full in advance.

These plans are non-refundable once the session dates have been agreed and confirmed.

If a client chooses to end therapy before using all sessions in a block plan, unused sessions are not eligible for a refund, unless there are exceptional, pre-agreed circumstances.

My usual cancellation policy still applies to each session within the plan (i.e. 48 hours' notice required to reschedule without loss of the session).

Session Interruptions
In the rare event that I need to cancel a session (e.g. due to illness or technical issues), you will be offered a rescheduled date at no extra cost or a full refund if rescheduling is not possible.

If you have any questions or concerns about payments or cancellations, please feel free to raise them in advance. This policy is in place to ensure fairness, clarity, and mutual respect.
