Short Term Therapy / Long Term Therapy
Our first meeting will involve a consultation which lasts 50 minutes.
During this time I find out about you and some of the reasons you have come to therapy. I will explain how I work and answer any questions you may have. We will discuss your goals for therapy.

SHORT TERM THERAPY
There are some issues that may be currently bothering you and may only need a short period of therapeutic help.
For those who choose short term therapy; specific goals in therapy will be agreed at your first appointment. It is usually best to limit the focus of short term therapy sessions to one or two concerns. The initial consultation will be followed by 6 - 12 weekly appointments. Together, we will work on these specific goals, while monitoring progress along the way.
As the final sessions come to a close, short term therapy clients can choose to continue the appointments for longer, should you wish to do so. Some people choose to finish after the agreed 6 or 12 sessions as many of their concerns will have been addressed by this time. Other clients choose to continue with longer-term therapy, and this is a personal choice for each client.

Long Term Therapy
There are some issues or problems that may require longer term therapy. When the initial 6 - 12 sessions of therapy come to an end we will have a discussion around your needs. If you feel that you would like to continue for longer than that - that is also available.
